Privacy
This site does not collect personal information, does not set cookies, and does not run analytics. That is the entire policy; the rest is detail.
What the document builders do with what you type
Nothing leaves your browser. The builders on this site are JavaScript files that run in your tab. They contain no code that contacts a server — nofetch, no XMLHttpRequest, no beacon, no form submission. The document is assembled in your browser's memory and handed to your browser's own download machinery.
Nothing is written to localStorage or sessionStorage either, which means your answers do not survive a page refresh. That is a deliberate trade: you lose the convenience of resuming, and in exchange nothing about your business is left sitting on a shared or borrowed computer.
This is verified mechanically. The build for this site fails if any builder script contains a network API. A privacy promise that is only prose is a promise; one that breaks the build is a property.
No cookies, no analytics, no third parties
Start in Minnesota sets no cookies. There is no Google Analytics, no tag manager, no advertising pixel, no heatmap, no session recorder, no embedded font from a third-party host, and no external script of any kind. The site's Content-Security-Policy permits no external origins at all, so a third-party script could not load even if one were accidentally added.
What the host necessarily sees
This site is served by Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes the network requests needed to deliver pages — including IP addresses — and may retain limited operational logs for security and abuse prevention. That data is handled under Cloudflare's own terms and is not accessible to this site as identifiable analytics. Nothing about that processing is under this site's control beyond choosing not to add anything on top of it.
If you email the firm
If you choose to email Madgett Law, LLC using the address on the legal review page, that email goes to the firm the way any email would. It is not routed through this site, and this site never sees it. Before a written engagement exists, information you send may not be privileged — the legal review page explains this in more detail, and it is worth reading before you write.
Children
This site is intended for adults conducting business and is not directed to children. It knowingly collects no information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the change will be described here rather than announced by a banner. Because the site collects nothing, there is no accumulated data that a future policy could retroactively apply to.
